Lolita meet up in Wroclaw

Last Friday, one day after D's concert, we had a lolita meet up in Wroclaw.

It was a little chilly, so I had to wear the only jacket I had with me.
I think my outfit lacks balance. I have so many things on my head and so little from my knees down. I guess more chunky-looking heels and lace trimmed socks would be better, but it was too cold for socks and I couldn't fit another pair of shoes into my suitcase.

Anyway...
We went to a cafe called Graciarnia (lumber room) and then we took some pictures outside.

You can see more group shots and individual outfit shots in my egl post here.

outfit rundown:
JSK: Alice and the Pirates
blouse: Innocent World
jewellery: I am, Bijou Brigitte and other
hair accessory: handmade
tights: Gatta

I wore my new hair falls. I had to get new ones cause I dyed my hair black and my old brown hair falls looked funny attached to my natural hair.
I also wore a wreath-like headband which I made a few days before going to Wroclaw.

Finished project

I've finished the dress I wrote about here. The construction is, well... terrible. But I'm quite proud of how the embroidery turned out.

Every window is slightly different. On each window there are different birds in different places.

Sweet lolita set for auction to help Japan

I made a sweet lolita skirt and headbow set which I am going to sell at the help_japan lj community.

The set is brand new, made to sell. I only tried it on to take a picture to show you what it looks like worn.
The set consists of a skirt with a detachable belt, a headbow and a brooch. The blouse is not included.

The clean and simple design makes it a great basic sweet lolita item.

The starting bid is 60 USD.

new project

I am currently working on a new dress, and even though I'm only starting I can already tell that it's going to be my most time-consuming project so far.

Here is the basic design.
The design you see at the bottom? Not a border print, no. Embroidery.

It's going to take me forever to finish this piece. To be honest I don't even remember the last time I embroidered anything. And I don't think I've ever tried doing anything like this.
The dress is going to be red, and the embroidery and the tiered underskirt are both going to be black. Not a very unique colourway, but a nice one.

I've already finished embroidering the first, central, panel. It took me 5 days. Now I only have 6 more to go! I hope that with time I'll get faster, since I won't be that inexperienced by the 7th panel.

Wish me luck!
